Knockelly Castle: A Work in Progress

Six years ago, Sybil and Jeremy Emmet-Booth purchased the almost 550-year-old Knockelly Castle near Fethard and commenced a major conservation and restoration journey. Their aim is to give Knockelly the best chance of surviving another 550 years. In what promises to be a fascinating talk, Jeremy will give a brief history of Knockelly and describe the work that has been completed so far, the traditional methods that are being used and the challenges and rewards of family life on a restoration site.

Sybil and Jeremy are passionate about promoting the conservation of our built and natural heritage and wish to share what they learn, as they face and overcome challenges, make mistakes, discover, restore and create.
