Janie's Walk Down Memory Lane

This event will consist of the re-enactment of a walk completed to mark "National Day of the Aged Sunday 16th Oct 1988" covering the 1.2km route from Janie Stones home and up (the steep) Lurgy hill to the Old School at the graveyard entrance in Ardcath, stopping to recall her words and long forgotten stories of who lived in the "Marylands" along the route to the village school.

As the walk is on a public road, L1006 we will have to limit the numbers of attendees. Registration is essential by email above.

Please bring sensible walking shoes and a high-vis vest.

Note: The route is roughly 2.4km from the parking point to the finish point back in the village. You will be standing/walking throughout the event.
