To celebrate National Heritage Week 2026, Galley Head Lightkeepers’ Houses in West Cork will be open on Sunday 16th August from 10am to 4pm. This is a free event offering a self-guided tour of the restored houses beside the iconic Galley Flash. Visitors can enjoy the scenic surroundings while exploring the conservation work undertaken by Irish Landmark Trust.
There is no parking available at the lighthouse itself. There is a small carpark located before the property and visitors can walk along the access road to the lighthouse. There are no dogs allowed inside the properties.
