Peacocks and Admirals in your park or garden? Delve a bit deeper into the world of butterflies, learn how to ID common butterflies.

This National Heritage Week, join Butterfly Conservation Northern Ireland to delve a bit deeper into the world of butterflies, learn how to ID 11 of the most commonly seen species, how to record them and next steps and techniques in surveying.

Meeting at Buncrana Community Library at 10.30am for refreshments and talk, followed by a relaxed family friendly butterfly walk in Swan Park, Buncrana to practice your skills (weather permitting).

Note that parking at Buncrana Community Library is paid and it is a 10 minute walk to Swan Park. There is parking available at Swan Park for those wishing to drive.

In partnership with Donegal County Council Biodiversity Office and Library Service, with funding from the Heritage Council through the Local Biodiversity Action Plan Programme.
