Into the West Screening: IFI Irish Film Archive Restoration

For IFI Family Festival 2026, we will have the premiere screening of the restored and digitised film, Into the West, supported by Screen Ireland.

Celebrating Ireland's film heritage, the film restoration project restores classic Irish films, preserves and digitises them, to make them available to audiences and future generations. IFi Family Festival brings the best new and classic international and Irish film to family audiences each August at IFI, Temple Bar. As part of this special event, families can join a short talk after the screening in the IFI Irish Film Archive Library, (places limited) to learn about aspects of the restoration. Items from the Into the West Collection will also be on display such as original posters etc.

Into the West screening is G classification, open to all. The Library talk is limited places and suitable for age 8+. Talk with ITW cinema ticket only.
