Podcast Launch: Inniú agus Inné- The lifecycle of Ballinasloe Library

A new Irish history podcast, “Inniú agus Inné”, will launch on Saturday 15 August in Ballinasloe Library at 11.30am, bringing attention to one of the country’s most overlooked institutions: the former St Gabriel’s Convent and St Joseph’s Industrial School, now home to Ballinasloe Library.
Created and presented by historian Abbie McGowan, the limited series examines the building’s evolution from a site of religious life and institutionalisation to a modern public library rooted in inclusivity and community.
The launch event promises to be interesting and engaging and will include a preview of the first episode, a short talk on the project and an invitation for community members to share memories or reflections of the building.
