Inishmurray: An Evening of Celebration

Monk, a unique film shot on Inishmurray inspired by the islands monastic traditions. The Tread Softly, Sligo’s own arts and cultural festival, in association with the Friends of Inishmurray, invite you to this special collaboration in the Old School House, Mullaghmore on Saturday August 22th, 7:30pm to 9:00pm for an island-themed evening that includes:-

Film Screening - Monk;
Q&A with Director: Bettina Seitz;
Refreshments;
Island themed stories and reflections in the company of historian Joe McGowan
A few ‘tunes’ celebrating the island.

The event is free of charge but online booking is essential as places are limited.

This is a joint venture event specially for Heritage Week 2026 between the Tread Softly Festival and the Friends of Inishmurray to reflect upon and celebrate the rich natural and cultural heritage of Inishmurray island.
