All over Inchicore - Kilmainham are places with stories to tell: from the river Camac to streets to buildings to parks.

As part of Heritage Week 2025, the Conservation Section of Dublin City Council invites you to share your connection to Inchicore - Kilmainham by sharing your stories and your drawings of your favourite buildings and spaces in the area through our “I Love where I Live….” project. This might be places along the Camac river, Richmond Barracks, Goldenbridge Cemetery, Tyrconnell Road, Emmet Road or Inchicore Road. Are they bridges, walls, buildings, your own garden, home or school or your local library. What are they made of…? What colours and shapes are they…? Are they tall or small…?

Your view of a place is as unique as you, so every picture and story you share with us is an important piece of the picture of Inchicore - Kilmainham. Every piece is important and the more pieces of the picture we have, like the pieces in a huge jigsaw, the better we can work together to protect what makes these places special. Stories can be from memories of school trips and family events to major events and changes that you have witnessed. We love to hear you tell us what makes Inchicore – Kilmainham special for you.

Our "I Love where I Live…" forms will be provided in Richmond Barracks Library during Heritage Week for children and adults to share their stories and drawings.
