Shirley Bowers, from Huntingdon, England, the birthplace of Oliver Cromwell, leads Arise Ministries.

Shirley paid a visit to the Cathedral recently and has an amazing story to tell! For over 30 years she and her team have worked to address the injustices of Cromwell's legacy in Ireland and the lasting consequences still felt today.

Her latest book I Heard Their Cry tells the story of those Cromwell had deported to Barbados and their living descendants.
