Discover the quirky stories and colourful characters behind the history of Cork's most lively neighbourhood, The VQ, which has been home to traders and merchants for hundreds of years, and boasts a beautiful Victorian theatre (The Everyman) which has welcomed to stars of the stage and screen. But what stories lie behind the history... ?!
This truly unique walking tour in Cork, will provide historic knowledge and plenty of laughs as your guide walks, hops, skips, jumps, dances and laughs their way around this historic quarter of the city with you in tow.
There may even be an opportunity to be part of the action yourself... !
Your tour guide, Angela Newman, is a fifth generation performer who comes from a long line of Irish Musicians, Singers, Composers and Actors on both sides of her family. As well as being an award winning actor, Angela is the Artistic Director of both Hysterical Histories Cork and Chattyboo Productions. Angela has also spent time acting as master of ceremonies and performing at events for Tourism Ireland in the U.S.A, Canada and in Scotland since 2023.
