An illustrated talk about the living traditions of some of Co. Wicklow's Holy Wells and their continuing revival.
Presented by: Rosaleen Durkin from Wicklow Wells (a group researching and documenting the holy wells of Co. Wicklow of which there are approximately 130).
The talk covers the protection and upkeep of these sacred sites, It also covers the rituals, folklore, offerings and cures associated with the wells in both Pre-Christian and Christian traditions.
