History of Cullen, Riverstick

Before Riverstick, there was Cullen.....
Fergal Browne, Secretary of Kinsale Cultural & Heritage Society will give a talk on the history of Cullen, Riverstick at Cullen Graveyard. The talk will cover the ancient monastic site founded by Saint Flann Fionn i Cuillinn, the history of Cullen Castle, which stood nearby, and the Church of Ireland and Rectory which occupied the site in the 19th and 20th centuries. The talk will also cover the people who lived in the area, including the Rectors of Ballymartle, IRA freedom fighter Denis Barry and other notable locals.
