Nenagh is a Town with a story to tell – and what better way to tell its story than through its streets and buildings. If these walls could only speak – in their way they do, through the facts and fables told by tour guide, Michael Murphy.
These stories are the foundation of the town we have today - a town that has evolved over 800 years, a market town originally the site of the Fair of Ormond (Aonach Urmhumhan). Over the years the uses of many of its buildings and the ownership have changed. Even the names of the streets have changed – Barrack Street to Kenyon St., Peter Street to Kickham St., Queen Street to Mitchel St.
Come along and, join our tour, explore the Town and immerse yourself in its past and present.
