Historical Herbalism at Castletown House

This talk will explore the evolving state of herbalism and medicinal gardening in seventeenth and eighteenth century Ireland. Particular attention will be paid to the herbs and remedies that were recorded and recommended by Katherine Conolly (1662-1752) and Lady Louisa Conolly (1743-1821) of Castletown House.
