Heritage Week Printmaking Workshop at Whitestown House Estate, Co. Dubiin
Celebrate National Heritage Week with an evening of creativity in the inspiring surroundings of Whitestown House Estate.
Led by artist and educator Shane McIntyre, this adult workshop invites guests to slow down, observe and respond to the historic estate through drawing and traditional printmaking.
The evening begins with a guided walk around the estate, where you'll create a series of observational sketches inspired by the architecture, estate and atmosphere of Whitestown House. Following a break for refreshments and conversation, you'll return to our new studio space to explore the traditional printmaking technique of drypoint etching, transforming your sketches into original hand-printed artworks using the printing press.
By the end of the evening, you'll leave with your own unique collection of prints, a new creative skill, and the experience of spending time making art in one of North County Dublin's historic estates.
No previous printmaking experience is necessary. This workshop is suitable for complete beginners as well as those with some artistic experience.
