All aboard the Heritage Week Express on the Cavan and Leitrim Railway at Dromod, County Leitrim. On Sunday 26th August our 1908 built steam locomotive "Nancy" will be hauling the Heritage Week Express along an original section of the Cavan and Leitrim narrow gauge railway. Here volunteers have brought back a short section of the original line, complete with working steam locomotives, diesel locomotives and rolling stock.
The journey includes a trip on the steam train along with a fully guided tour of the historic exhibits at the museum.
The centre is unique in Ireland offering a steam hauled train, one of the handful of steam locomotives active on the island.
