
Walking Tour of Enniscorthy's Revolutionary Heritage (1916-1923)

Join Archaeologist and Historian Barry Lacey of 'Slaneyside Heritage' in exploring Enniscorthy Towns Revolutionary Heritage covering the period 1916-1923, including the 1916 Rising, War of Independence and Irish Civil War. We will visit buildings, streets and other locations in the town associated with incidents and individuals from the period, learn about the stories, statues, memorials, markers and evidence of conflict surviving in the town.
In keeping with this years theme of 'Heritage at Risk' we will learn about the vulnerability of this heritage and what can be done to ensure its preservation.
