Take a guided tour of Curraghmore House, detailing the house and family history with a viewing of the original interior. See its vast furniture collection, art and architectural insights. Curraghmore House has some of the finest neo classical rooms in Ireland, which feature the magnificent plaster work of James Wyatt and grisaille panels by Peter de Gree.
The gardens at Curraghmore House include an ancient oak woodland, arboretum, a Shell House folly and beautiful terraces designed by the various Lady Waterford’s of the day. The unique shell grotto was built and decorated by Catherine Countess of Tyrone in 1754. Take a guided tour of this magical Shell House, followed by a garden visit with access to the estate's formal gardens.
The Tea Rooms at Curraghmore House & Gardens are opened every Friday ,Saturday and Sunday. Tasty homemade cakes, biscuits, tea, coffee and light lunches are served here.
Tours are available at 11am and 2pm each day
Fee €22 for entry.
