Guided Tour of Drogheda's Town Walls
John the County Louth Heritage Officer, Brendan McSherry, for a long and, at times, physically demanding evening traipse around the longest town walls circuit in Ireland.
Starting at the finest surviving town gate in Ireland, the walk will show where Cromwell breached the walls, where the defenders were massacred and the longest surviving stretches of town wall.
Please note that this walk does not include admission to Laurence's Gate (though the gate will be opened during an event in September, which is also supported by the County Louth Heritage Office and the Irish Walled Towns Network, a programme of the Heritage Council)
