Guided Heritage Walk of Ballisodare

A guided walk though Ballisodare emphasising the social history of the area. The walk will take us from the handball alley past the sites of the old national school and county council yard, down along the lane to St. Feichin's Graveyard. We will stop opposite the new houses (Cuan Ard) overlooking the river and talk about the mills and river power. After another short stop and discussion at the graveyard we will move on to the picnic bench overlooking the river estuary with views of the river, Ben Bulben and Knocknarea. Then back to the handball alley.

Tea/coffee & biscuits at the handball alley after the walk. Time to chat with locals and see some artefacts and photos.
