Guided Bat walk in Dalgan Park
Join Meath County Council for a batty evening stroll to celebrate National Heritage Week in collaboration with Bat Conservation Ireland on the grounds of Dalgan Park. Meet us at the front entrance to Dalgan House for an initial bat chat followed by a moonlit walk through the woodland with bat detectors.
This event is suitable for children aged 7+. All children must be supervised by parents/guardians at all times. The walk will take place on walking tracks and on some woodland trails in low light levels. Wear weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear. Advance booking is essential as spaces are limited.
This National Heritage Week event has been organised by Meath County Council Biodiversity Office in partnership with Bat Conservation Ireland. The Biodiversity Officer Programme is supported nationally by the Heritage Council. Ceangal, the Local Authority Heritage Programme, is delivered in partnership between the Heritage Council and Local Government Ireland.
