Greek Voices in Ireland: Stories of Home, Heritage and Belonging

Experience the voices behind the Greek Voices in Ireland project in this special Heritage Week event celebrating the oral heritage of the Greek and Cypriot community in Ireland. Through a selection of newly recorded interviews, hear first-hand accounts of migration, family life, identity, tradition and belonging, as participants reflect on building new lives in Ireland while maintaining strong cultural connections to their homeland. This unique audio showcase offers an opportunity to discover the rich experiences, memories and contributions of a community whose stories are now being preserved for future generations.

The Greek Voices in Ireland Project is being delivered by the Hellenic Community of Ireland and overseen by Mac Conmara Heritage Consulting, with archival support from the Cork Folklore Project, UCC.
