Goldsmith Country Heritage Tour

Join the Goldsmith Festival Committee for a wonderful evening in Goldsmith Country and visit the sights and places associated with the great 18th century Poet, Dramatist and Novelist, Oliver Goldsmith.
The tour will include visits to the Schoolhouse, Lissoy Parsonage, Forgney Church, the Alehouse, the Hawthorn Bush, Kilkenny West, the Busy Mill & the Three Jolly Pigeons. You can also join the tour at the Goldsmith Monument, Ballymahon Library.
The tour will involve some limited walking so bring along appropriate footwear and rainwear if necessary
Following the conclusion of the tour at 8pm the Committee will present an evening of traditional music, song and readings from Goldsmith in one the region’s best known traditional, authentic pubs, ‘The Three Jolly Pigeons’.
