This event is intended to increase awareness and encourage people to plant native species and create wildlife spaces on their own land or on communal land in their local area, while helping to protect and restore biodiversity as a vital part of our natural heritage.

The event will be informal, walk in and free to attend from 10.00 to 12.00 on Saturday 16th August with several experts present to answer queries on native wildflowers and trees, building ponds, growing organic and edible food, planting and maintaining hedgerows.

Advice will be available to gardeners of any level, residents associations, Tidy Towns groups, sport clubs, or to anyone interested in learning how to improve their range of native plants and biodiversity in relatively easy steps.

Experts include representatives from Wildacres (Nature reserve with ponds), Kilmurry Nursery (Organic gardening), Eoin Donnelly (Master hedge layer), Wexford Environmental Network (Organic food gardening) Connecting to Nature (Wildflower meadows).
