Galway's Recorded Memories

The Galway Audit of Oral Heritage Collections, through project consultants, Mac Conmara Heritage, will have a dedicated stand and presentation space at the Mountbellew Agricultural Show, one of County Galway’s most well-attended public events. This provides a unique opportunity to engage directly with thousands of people from across the county, raising awareness of the oral heritage initiative, sharing stories already collected, and encouraging wider community participation. The event will serve as a key outreach initiative to connect with both older generations and younger audiences, strengthening public ownership and interest in the preservation of Galway’s living memory.
