Evening Music Concert

Saturday 22 August 2026 | 7:00 PM – 9:30 PM
Mick Lally Theatre, Druid Lane, Galway

Bring the day to a memorable close with an evening of music, song, and community as Galway Civic Trust celebrates the living traditions that continue to enrich our cultural heritage.

The concert features a varied programme of traditional Irish music, folk songs, contemporary folk, ukulele favourites, and choral performances, showcasing talented local musicians and community groups.

The evening's performers include:

The Kelly Family – Traditional Irish Music
The Vibe Tones – High-energy Folk & Traditional Music
Mick Brown – Folk Singer
Dogz Bol Ukes – Galway Ukulele Group
Cór na dTreabh – Community Choir

A short interval will include complimentary finger food and refreshments, providing an opportunity to meet fellow attendees and celebrate another successful Heritage Week gathering.

Music is an important part of Galway's living heritage, connecting generations through shared traditions, stories, and community spirit. This concert is a fitting finale to a day dedicated to celebrating and protecting the heritage that makes Galway unique.

The concert concludes Galway Civic Trust: A Celebration of Heritage 2026, a full-day programme presented during National Heritage Week 2026. Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy talks, exhibitions, living history displays, storytelling, film, and music across the Mick Lally Theatre, the Hall of the Red Earl, and the Peadar O'Dowd Gallery, all inspired by this year's theme, "Heritage at Risk."
