From Weed to Wellness: Plant Wisdom of Our Ancestors

22 August, 3pm - 5pm

  • Anamcara Healing Herbs Garden Donegal
  • Chapel Road
  • F92YX22
  • Co. Donegal

Plants have been constant companions to our ancestors, providing them with food and medicine. In time, many of them have been named ‘weeds’ but their power to offer nutrition and medicine has not ceased. Join this workshop where Master Medical Herbalist Columbia Hillen will share ways to identify such ‘weeds,’ how they were used in food and medicine, how she turns them into tonics, syrups, creams and salves to help support health issues such as arthritis, circulation, heart, respiratory conditions, skin issues such as eczema and psoriasis as well as mental health to name a few. You’ll never look at the plants in your lawn the same way.

Columbia is a Mentor for the Plant Medicine School in Ireland, a member of the Irish Register of Herbalists and the Association of Master Herbalists in the UK, her herb garden is part of the Donegal Garden Trail.

To see more details about Columbia, visit her website: https://www.anamcarahealingherbs.com/
