From Gallanes Lough Clonakilty to Sketchbook

Join us for a session of creativity, as we explore the natural and cultural heritage of the Gallanes Lough through observation, sketching, and connection. As we walk together along Clonakilty’s Greenway path towards Gallanes Lough, participants will be encouraged to pause, look closely at the landscape, and translate what they see into sketches, having the chance to slow down, observe, and express the natural world on paper.

No matter your experience—whether you’re a seasoned artist, a curious beginner, or simply someone who loves nature—this event is for you. Sketching materials will be provided. You are very welcome to bring cameras and any extra art supplies.

We’re offering two sessions, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, so you can choose the time that suits you best.

Come connect with like-minded people, explore your artistic side, and enjoy the calming natural surroundings in Clonakilty. We can’t wait to see you there!

We will meet in the car park at Scally’s SuperValu Clonakilty (P85 W620) and walk together along Clonakilty’s Greenway path towards Gallanes Lough. Participants with mobility limitations are welcome to join us at the entrance to the Lough.

There are two sessions available:
Morning: 10:00am - 12:30pm. Arrival to the entrance gate by approximately 10:30am. Afternoon: 1:00pm - 3:30pm. Arrival to the entrance gate at 1:30pm.

After each session, we will return to Clonakilty. Comfortable shoes, waterproof clothing, and a bottle of water are strongly recommended.
