From Belalt to Kieltra: Rossnowlagh Beach Heritage Walk

19 August, 2pm - 4pm

  • The southern beach access ramp, Rossnowlagh
  • Co. Donegal

Belalt Strand, better known as Rossnowlagh beach, is a rich cultural environment under threat from a number of quarters, some of them less obvious than others.

Join archaeologist Franc Myles on a walk along the beach, starting from the stream forming the historic boundary of Kilbarron and Drumhome at the southern end, to the Emergency-era concrete pillbox, standing sentinel at the top of the beach.
