
Free 'Three Centuries of Building & Rebuilding' Event at Coollattin House, Co. Wicklow
To celebrate Heritage Open Doors, "Three Centuries of Building and Rebuilding" is presented as an immersive experience following the development alteration extension and rebuilding of the house from the late 17th Century to the late 19th Century. The presentation follows the development of the house from the Wentworth to the Wentworth Fitzwilliam families and the dramatic events of the 1798 Rebellion which saw its burning. It will take the form of a chronological hands on exploration of copies of archival plans drawings letters and images of the successive occupants who created the building and associated yards to be seen today.

Coollattin House is a member of Historic Houses of Ireland.
The house is also open for tours during Heritage Week daily from Sat 15th August to Sunday 23 Aug August 11 AM to 4 PM.
