Free Self-Guided Visit of The Custom House

On Saturday 15th August 2026 to mark the start of Heritage Week, most OPW sites are offering free entry to all visitors.
The Custom House will offer free self-guided visits on this day.
Explore the exhibition at your leisure and learn all about the architecture and the tumultuous history of The Custom House. Detailed information panels, videos and interactive screens all work in harmony throughout our exhibition to bring the amazing story of The Custom House to life for our self-guided visitors.
A full audio guide tour of the entire exhibition is available in Irish, English, French, German, Spanish, Italian and Mandarin Chinese. This is free of charge.
Booking for these tours is available. Walk-ins will be accepted on the day, but visitors with bookings will be given priority on the day.
