Step into sacred history and serene beauty on a guided walking tour through the beautiful grounds of Knock Shrine. Join one of our local guides and explore the key landmarks and history of one of Ireland's most significant pilgrimage sites. Hear the remarkable story of the Knock Apparition of 1879 and learn about the devotional customs and traditions of pilgrims who continue to visit seeking peace, healing and reconciliation. The tour includes visits to the iconic Knock Basilica with its spectacular mosaic, the historic Parish Church and the Apparition Gable Wall. The tour culminates at the award-winning Knock Museum where you will gain deeper insight into the story of Knock within the context of the era. Here you will see the 1879 Knock Village Model, read original handwritten letters of cures and hear personal stories of faith and devotion.
Tours take place daily from 16th-21st August beginning at 11am from the Information Office in Knock Shrine grounds. These tours are free and open to all. No advance booking is required.
