Formal Garden Tour

We are hosting tours that will explore the various trees and shrubs that are growing within the grounds. What plants thrive, why they have been chosen and the continuous work done to promote biodiversity and native Irish flora in our green oasis. It will also cover the various policies we follow within the grounds and how they support a diverse culture of wildlife. Finally, we will look at the history and development of the gardens as part of the Royal Hospital Kilmainham.

The meeting point for the start of the tour is the OPW stand in the middle of the courtyard at the Royal Hospital, beside the entrance to the Irish Museum of Modern Art. Please be there five minutes before the tour is due to start. There is no need to prebook.
