Forest Therapy at Derrycarne Wood

23 August, 12pm - 2pm

  • Derrycarne Wood
  • Dromod
  • Co. Leitrim

Reconnect with nature and yourself on a guided Forest Therapy experience with Shailagh Healy in the beautiful surroundings of Derrycarne Wood.

Join us for a gentle saunter; a sacred, slow and relaxed walk that invites you to slow down, awaken your senses and immerse yourself in the healing atmosphere of the woodland. Rooted in the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku (Forest Bathing) and inspired by nature connection traditions from cultures around the world, Forest Therapy offers a mindful and restorative experience designed to reduce stress, encourage relaxation and support overall wellbeing. Through simple guided invitations and sensory awareness practices, participants can deepen their connection with the natural world while enjoying a peaceful, unhurried afternoon among the trees.

Suitable for adults of all abilities, this is an opportunity to pause, breathe, and experience the subtle yet profound benefits of being fully present in nature. Please dress appropriately for the weather and for trail walking.

This is a free event with limited places so please book your ticket in advance.
