Family History Workshop at Newbridge House and Farm

Join us at Newbridge House and Farm this National Heritage Week for a workshop all about family! We will be talking about family trees and the study of genealogy looking at some historic documents preserved in the Cobbe family archive.

These never-before-seen documents chart Cobbe family history back centuries and are preserved at Newbridge House. Having been recently conserved through grant funding from the Heritage Council they are now ready to be explored!

The workshop is for all ages and open to all throughout the day. We will be on hand to help guide your own genealogical research with tools to help you formulate your own family tree and tips on family research.

If your own family has links to Newbridge House, or other parts of the Cobbe estate in Dublin, Wicklow or Louth, we will be able to help with research requests by looking through documents in the Cobbe archives on site. Come armed with only a passion for knowledge and a want to learn more!
