
Exploring the Rocky Seashore of Rosses Point

- Meet at the start of the scenic route close to the Wild Atlantic Way sign in Rosses Point.

Discover the amazing plants and animals to be found in the rock pools of Rosses Point with the assistance of Heritage in Schools Specialist; Martina Butler. All equipment and materials will be provided.
Suitable for able-bodied people including families. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Please arrive on time as all participants need to be present for the short safety talk at the start of this event. In the interests of safety, latecomers will be advised that they may not participate in the event.
Dress for the outdoors including suitable sturdy footwear. It would be advisable to wear either waterproof or old shoes that you don't mind getting wet.
Please follow advice on the day regarding access to the rock pools, protecting the habitat and water safety.
This event will be cancelled if the organisers deem conditions unsuitable on the day of the event.
Leave no trace principles will be applied.
Sligo Bay is a Blue Dot Waterbody. Blue Dot Waterbodies are Ireland's best remaining rivers, lakes, estuaries and coastal waters. These special places are designated as having High Ecological Status and act as benchmarks for how clean, healthy, and biodiverse our waters can be.
