21 August, 11am - 1pm

  • Talbot's Tower
  • New Street, Kilkenny City
  • Co. Kilkenny

Discover Kilkenny’s historic city walls through the eyes of three specialists on this unique guided tour. Join Aoife Howard, Conservation Engineer; Fiona MacGowan, Ecologist; and Colm Flynn, Archaeologist, as they share their different perspectives on one of the city’s most important monuments.

Along the route, learn how the walls tell stories of medieval Kilkenny, provide valuable habitats for wildlife, and present ongoing conservation challenges. The tour will explore the rich archaeological, ecological and structural significance of the walls, offering new insights into their past, present and future.
