Exploring Galway's History at St. Nicholas Collegiate Church

Join us for a fun and educational day in St. Nicholas Collegiate Church Galway on Saturday 23rd August from 11:30 to 15:30!
Have a go at Medieval Sword Play with the help of Cluain Óir, Society for Creative Re-enactment, Galway Branch.
Try your hand at Calligraphy, Medieval Dance, Lucet Weaving and have a taste of Medieval snacks.
Try on some Medieval Clothes and take your picture.
Learn a Cúpla Focal with help from Gailimh le Geilge and try your hand at Celtic patterns.
Learn about ancient Irish weaving techniques.
Children of all ages can colour in Celtic patterns and design their own Coat of Arms.
Treasure trails suitable for children ages 4 years to 6 years and 7 years to 10 years.
Take a guided tour with Lady Catherine and let the stones tell the story of St. Nicholas Church.
Enjoy some free refreshments while you listen to medieval music.
