Exhibition: Archaeological Excavations at Cappagh, Co. Waterford

Join Waterford County Museum and Rubicon Archaeology for a fascinating pop-up exhibition showcasing discoveries from the Cappagh excavation, including a remarkable almost 6,000-year-old Neolithic polished stone axe, prehistoric pottery, and other artefacts that reveal thousands of years of human activity in the area. The Cappagh excavation uncovered two Neolithic houses and a Bronze Age cemetery, providing an extraordinary insight into life in prehistoric Waterford.

Alongside the excavation discoveries, visitors can explore a selection of historic photographs, archaeological images, and objects from Waterford County Museum's collections, highlighting the rich history and archaeology of Dungarvan and West Waterford through the centuries.
