Come along to Drummin Bog, St, Mullins, Co. Carlow to celebrate Water Heritage Day, Sunday 23rd August. We will be releasing moths from two overnight moth traps at 8am, and with the guidance of Robbie Donnelly we will be using citizen science to identify what we find, while seeing what moths Drummin Bog may support.
At 11.30 am James Lalor, the hydrogeologist who has been monitoring water levels on Drummin Bog for the past 5 years, will give a talk on the importance of water to Drummin Bog, including what groundwater is, how water data is collected, and how water works in the landscape.
We will be having a tea-break at 10.30 am. This will give the opportunity for folk to arrive for the water talk who may not be able to make the moth releases.

Long trousers, long sleeves, strong footwear and a walking stick recommended, as rough ground - and bring your keep cup.
