
Drawn to the Wild with Don Conroy

Don Conroy is a man of many talents — a writer, a television presenter, a naturalist, an environmentalist and a working artist who has held many exhibitions and has inspired many children over the decades. Perhaps best known to the young people of Ireland for his appearances as Uncle Don to Dustin, Socky and Zig & Zag on RTE’s The Den, Don has also had a several TV series of his own – “Paint for Fun”, from which came a successful book and “The Art of Don”.
Drawn to Nature : a creative nature inspired session with renowned artist and author Don Conroy suitable for ages from seven and up the event is free, but we ask that people bring an a4 sketch pad a HB pencil and a 2B pencil and booking is essential as places are limited.
All children must be accompanied by an adult.
This workshop will take place in Castletown National School, Castletown, Gorey, County Wexford.
We aim to make our event as inclusive as possible,
However this will be a classroom based activity and therefore may be challenging for those with profound intellectual disabilities.
Weather permitting we hope to have an outdoor area to allow those who would like to engage in workshop but may also need movement breaks to move around freely.
