Donegal Railway Heritage Museum Community Open Day

To round out our Heritage Week programme and to mark the closing days of the summer, Donegal Railway Heritage Museum are inviting all members of the local community along to this free Community Open Day.

We’ll have children’s games and activities, music, guided tours, a prize draw, exclusive demonstrations showing the more delicate treasures normally kept in our archive, and of course a chance to discover more about Donegal’s unique railway heritage. We’ll have an information stand and some staff available to chat about what we can offer in terms of outreach events, heritage project support, group visits, venue hire, and more, and we’ll be running some surveys to find out how we can better serve the needs of our community as we seek to develop over the coming years. Remember, this is your community museum, and we’re here to help preserve and promote the heritage we all share!
