Re-enactment of domestic life in 1805, in St Mary's Rectory, Bunclody
Life in a Georgian country rectory from the early 19th century will be re-enacted at St Mary's Rectory, Ryland, Bunclody. This will focus on the hiring of domestic staff based on old new paper advertisements from the period. Visitors will walk the old walled garden imagining how it looked with staff in the 19th century, and in the large old sitting room, an interview for a cook and kitchen maid will be re-enacted.
There is no cost for this event. Refreshments will be served in the marquee set up on the front lawn from 10.30am
