The traditions, oral heritage and customs surrounding our holy wells are a very important aspect of our intangible cultural heritage. Archaeologist Tamlyn McHugh has collected and collated the customs and traditions relating to holy wells in Roscommon which is presented in this exhibition, which was produced in 2024.

Tamlyn will give a talk on Roscommon's Holy Wells in Ballaghaderreen Library @ 2pm on Sat 22 Aug.
