Irish Travellers are an indigenous ethnic group, who have been part of Irish society for centuries with a unique nomadic history. This exhibition celebrates the Traveller heritage of the Black Ash & Spring Lane Areas of Cork city. Memories of travelling times and barreltop wagons are celebrated through collaged photos created by Traveller women working with artist Tom Doig. The artwork is linked to a website with more information on this part of Cork history. Women who were involved in this oral history project share their memories and oral histories.
