Clann agus Cré: Reconnecting with the Wheel of the Year

Join Orlagh in Fernhill Park and Gardens for an intergenerational exploration of the Celtic Wheel of the Year, reconnecting with Ireland's seasonal traditions through nature, storytelling and shared experience. The session begins with a short sensory meditation, followed by a nature connection exercise. Together we'll then create a living Wheel of the Year using natural materials gathered in the landscape. Gathering around the Wheel, we'll share memories and stories connected with the four Celtic fire festivals—Samhain, Imbolc, Bealtaine and Lughnasa—while exploring the customs, beliefs and deities associated with these seasonal thresholds. We will close by gently dismantling the Wheel and introducing the Ogham tree alphabet as another way our ancestors understood and related to the natural world. This welcoming experience invites participants to reconnect with nature and Ireland's seasonal traditions in a relaxed and reflective setting.
