19 August, 7:30pm - 10pm

  • St Sylvester's Parish Hall
  • 1 Main Street, Malahide
  • K36 HR63
  • Co. Dublin – Fingal

Fingal has seen a lot of change especially in the last century. The Changing Fingal project aims to capture the stories and memories of communities across the county. Members of the Fingal Heritage Network have been using Census 1926, maps, photographs and memories to trace the story of our place. Societies are marking the anniversaries-did you know Blanchardstown Brass Band is 200 years old in 1926? Others are capturing stories from when their houses were built. Still more have contributed to our Changing Fingal StoryMap.

A series of leaflets featuring Main Street, Swords, Rush-The village has changed…the families have stayed; Balbriggan - Our Place; Booklets-Rush & Loughshinny Smugglers; Barrack Lane, Lusk and Inclosing Lusk and films-Blanchardstown Brass Band and the 12 Apostles, Swords will be launched by Fingal Mayor, Cllr Tony Murphy at Heritage Night 2026.

The Changing Fingal launch precedes Heritage Night 2026
