Cathedral Quarter Office Open Day

Celebrate National Heritage Week with a visit to the Letterkenny Cathedral Quarter Office Open Day on Wednesday, 19 August, from 10.00am to 4.00pm.

This free event offers a unique opportunity to explore the Cathedral Quarter Office, home to an extensive collection of local heritage materials celebrating the history and development of Letterkenny Cathedral Quarter. Visitors can browse fascinating displays of historic photographs, newspaper articles, exhibition posters, maps, publications, and other memorabilia that tell the story of the area and its people.

Throughout the day, volunteers will be available to welcome visitors, share the stories behind the collections, and explain the work being carried out to preserve and promote Letterkenny's rich heritage. Guests can learn about community history projects, discover lesser-known aspects of the Cathedral Quarter, and gain an insight into how local history is researched and recorded.
