Castleisland Main Street Project
Join Castleisland District Heritage for a special event during Heritage Week 2026. From Saturday, August 15th to Saturday, August 22nd, we’ll be at one of the historic buildings on Main Street to collect the stories, memories, and history of Castleisland from the community.
There will be members of our committee there to share stories and celebrate the history of the main street on Saturday the 15th and Saturday the 22nd.
We’re inviting everyone to share their oral stories, videos, audio recordings, and written accounts about the buildings and life on Main Street. Whether you’ve lived here for decades or just a few years, your memories are valuable. Bring your old photos, documents, or just your stories—we’ll be there to digitally preserve them for future generations.
Our team will be available to gather and process photos and videos on the spot. Visit us on Saturday, August 15th and 22nd from 10 am to 4pm, and from Monday, August 17th to Friday, August 21st from 11am to 3pm.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a living archive of Castleisland’s history. Come along, share your piece of the past, and help us celebrate the rich heritage of our town.
