
Cappagh House Talk and Tour with Guest Dr Rachel Finnegan, Author of 'The Memoirs and Diaries of Judith Isobel Chavasse'
To celebrate Heritage Open Doors day, at 10 am and 12 pm, there will be a special talk and tour with Dr Rachel Finnegan, author of a biography on Judith Isobel Chavasse. The talk will focus on the first Irish branch of the Chavasse family, which was established with the marriage of Judith Fleming to Major Hal Chavasse in 1895. Their life in Co. Waterford and West Cork is told through diaries and other family archives now held at Cappagh House.
